Sunpro Solar is seeking a Solar Installer for our Jacksonville, FL. Territory. The Solar Installer will be responsible for working as a contributing member of the solar installation crew and assisting the mechanical portions of residential solar installation. This position assists, organizes, and performs the safety equipment placement, array layout, racking installation, and module placement. The solar installer will work as part of a team to safely and successfully complete residential solar installations.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Layout, assembly and installation of solar array and mounting hardware
  • Assist with electrical wiring of energy products
  • Prepare and clean up job site
  • Provide exceptional customer service to every customer throughout the installation process
  • Additional duties may be required as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 1 year of roof work experience required
  • Solar experience a plus
  • General construction/framing experience is a plus
  • Electrical experience is a plus
  • 1 year of working at heights including on rooftops, climbing ladders and stairs, and performing repetitious duties such as lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 100 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday
  • Ability to work in harsh environments such as, extreme hot and cold, crawl spaces, roofs, extreme heights.
  • Ability to safely handle and maintain basic hand and power tools used for installation
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor
  • Ability to work well others in a collaborative team environment
  • Must be able to handle 40-hour work week with overtime.
  • Confidentially climb up 40’ ladder.
  • Navigate roofs up to 12:12 pitch

Solar Foreman | Jacksonville, FL, FL

Sunpro Solar is seeking a Foreman for our Jacksonville, FL territory.  The Solar Foreman is ultimately responsible for organizing, motivating, and leading the installation team as well as ensuring the safety, quality, and efficiency of the crew, and ultimately a best in class customer experience.

As the Solar Foreman, you are responsible for providing leadership and direction to a residential PV solar installation team. Your typical day is spent out on the job site overseeing solar installations, assisting in the installation of the entire system, providing job specific direction to the solar installers. The Solar Foreman will guide and motivate his/her team to install the PV solar system, ensuring the project successfully passes city inspection. The Solar Foreman must ensure that all installation team members adhere to safety requirements and regulations and will be required to give feed back to the Territory Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will have both solar installation and electrical experience, possess strong organizational and communication skills, and maintain a high work ethic.

Responsibilities:

• Install all electrical portions of installations in a safe, high quality and efficient installation manner. 

• Oversee job sites on assigned solar install projects and provide communication on progress to Territory Manager and/or Project Coordinators.
• Check progress throughout the installation to ensure that installers are installing correctly.
• Ensure job sites have all materials, tools, and equipment to perform job safely and efficiently.
• Cut, bend, thread and run electrical conduit materials, pull electrical wiring through electrical conduit, terminate electrical panels, set fixtures, outlets and various electrical devices.
• Install and connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, outlets or other components and systems.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes
• Communicate to Territory Operations Manager potential problems encountered during installation that would affect the schedule or require added materials to be procured.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
• Use and ensure the proper safety equipment and practices for safe installation with Cal OSHA compliance and adherence to corporate safety requirements and regulations
• Participate in safety and operations meetings

• Minimum 1 year of Solar Installation experience;
• Commercial and residential electrical experience required;
• Follow instructions, clearly give instructions, and learn quickly;

• Possess strong mechanical/construction skills;
• Have excellent organizational and time management skills;
