Primary Responsibilities

The Territory Sales Manager will work with the National Sales Director to formally manage, train, and motivate reps in the region.  This is not an individual contributor role disguised as a manager role.

  • Management, development and training of residential sales department.
  • Support difficult-to-close deals with reps.
  • Manage continual improvement of sales force including training and sales motivation.
  • Training and effective utilization of company-provided resources…and teach the team how to use and love these resources!
  • Ensure all contracting, reporting and documentation requirements are met.
  • Ensure effective performance management of the residential sales department, develop and implement detailed action plans with the team.
  • Review sales results daily and manage performance through coaching and application of basic sales management principles.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement through the sharing of best practices across the residential sales department

Requirements

Although we’d love somebody with solar industry experience, construction, building, consumer products, or other direct outside sales management experience would be considered.

  • 3-5+ years of experience in managing a STELLAR outside sales team
  • Proven sales success, ideally in a residential setting, but not required.
  • Demonstrated elegance in interactions with customers, staff, and colleagues
  • Superior verbal, written communication skills and presentation skills
  • Social media presence
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com
  • Probably a “little more detail-oriented” than a lot of salespeople!
  • A strong passion/desire to hit goals – you’re probably very competitive!
  • Ability to cope with difficult customer situations.
  • Excellent listening skills and the ability to ask probing questions, to understand concerns, and to overcome objections.
  • Highly motivated self-starter who doesn’t need heavy management.

Sunpro Solar is looking to hire Solar Designer for our St. Louis Territory, office located in Caseyville, IL.! The Solar Designer works diligently to create custom solar panel designs that best fit the customer’s unique needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assess and confirm system design, including: array layout, wire runs and interconnection method.
  • Identify and resolve design issues with the salesman and submit drawings for their customer’s review and approval.
  • Track and manage numerous projects and communicate milestones to appropriate parties.
  • Coordinating with multiple jurisdictions to meet their requirements
  • Provide final review of system designs to ensure a high level of accuracy and completion
  • Maintain and update CAD standards
  • Research building codes and plan implementation of new system design requirements (NEC, Building Code, Fire Code, Greenbook, etc.)

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Basic 2D AutoCAD skills
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in AutoCAD, Visio, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Capability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with attention to detail
  • Have previous solar experience highly preferred, but not required
  • Know how to research National Electrical Code. Previous knowledge preferred but not required
  • Have experience working with Outlook and SalesForce, but not required

Solar Installer

Sunpro Solar is seeking a Solar Installer for our St. Louis, MO. territory. The Solar Installer will be responsible for working as a contributing member of the solar installation crew and assisting with the mechanical portions of residential solar installation. The solar installer will work as part of a team to safely and successfully complete residential rooftop solar installations.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Layout, assembly and installation of solar array and mounting hardware
  • Assist with electrical wiring of energy products
  • Prepare and clean up job site
  • Provide exceptional customer service to every customer throughout the installation process
  • Additional duties may be required as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 1 year of roof work and/or solar experience required
  • General construction/framing experience is a plus
  • Electrical experience is a plus
  • Comfortable working at heights including on rooftops, climbing ladders and stairs, and performing repetitious duties such as lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift  50-100 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday
  • Ability to work in harsh environments such as, extreme hot and cold, crawl spaces, roofs, extreme heights.

Energy Efficiency Specialist | St. Louis, MO

Home Energy Auditor / Weatherization Tech

Sunpro Solar is Seeking an Energypro Specialist for our St Louis, MO. location!        

The Energy Specialist will be responsible for educating home owners in energy efficiency practices. The Specialist will analyze the homeowner’s energy efficiency, promote and encourage the adoption of sound energy efficiency recommendations, and install instant savings measures such as LED light bulbs and water heater wraps.

As a representative of the company the candidate must be able to present a clean, professional image and demonstrate the ability to clearly communicate with supervisors, homeowners and inspectors. It is required that the candidate have a thorough understanding of home construction, be able to accurately identify framing members and photograph and create written documentation of site conditions. Along with these requirements. The position will handle site visits, inspections, service calls, technical troubleshooting, and project close out.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work independently to conduct energy audits – This includes traveling to the customer site location, interacting with the customer, performing a comprehensive assessment/audit of the residence, recommending energy saving measures, conducting energy usage data calculations, and completing corresponding documentation.
  • The individual will also maintain accurate supply inventory on a weekly basis.
  • Perform energy audits and record findings (e.g. blower door, insulation level, thermostat type,) and download/upload the required forms and worksheets.
  • Where appropriate, advise customers simple low- and no-cost energy conservation measures, such as sealing air leaks and changing furnace filters.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have a clear driving record
  • At least 1 year of Energy Auditing experience is preferred.
  • BPI Analyst Certification is preferred, HVAC Certificate, HERS Rater holders welcome.
  • Weatherization technicians welcome
  • A self-starter with the ability to keep on task independently and complete reports in a timely matter.
  • Excellent communicator that is capable of explaining building science details both orally and in written format.
  • Solid foundation in utilizing Microsoft Office products, with a particular focus on Word and Excel.
  • A basic understanding of residential home construction.
  • Ability to pass drug screen and background check.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40lbs, and climbing on ladders.
